What do the teas taste like?

These teas taste exactly like what they promise: Christmas! Merry Mango and Pear Cinnamon bring a cinnamon-spiced twist to your tea collection and taste like Christmas under the palm trees. Merry Cinnamon and Merry Berry are fruity yet classic blends that will blow you away. And Rooibos Dream and Orange-Mint are absolute classics in a new blend!

How many servings of tea does the Merry Christmas Set make?

The set includes six jars of tea. One jar is enough for 50 servings. So this set contains 300 servings of tea, which means each serving costs just €0.17!

How do I brew tea properly?

We recommend adding 1–2 teaspoons to boiling water and letting the fruit teas steep for 7–8 minutes. The longer you let it steep, the more intense the natural sweetness becomes.

Are the teas in this set vegan, gluten-free, and free of additives?

Yes! All the teas in this set are vegan, gluten-free, and completely free of any additives!

Are these teas suitable for children and pregnant women?

This set contains nothing but fruit! That makes it a safe choice for all children and (expectant) moms.

Why do you use flavorings?

In some of our teas, we use natural flavors because that’s the only way to achieve the taste consumers expect (especially with fruit teas). Dried, steeped berries, for example, would hardly release any flavor of their own. When selecting flavors, we rely exclusively on organic flavors that come 100% from the fruit itself. It’s kind of like squeezing 100 strawberries into a pipette all at once! ;) We consistently avoid synthetically produced (chemical) flavorings as well as so-called “natural” flavorings, which often come from tree bark or mold.

Is stevia a sweetener?

Unlike industrial products (such as cola or artificial sweeteners), we use the entire dried leaf—also known as stevia. The industry, on the other hand, uses the chemically extracted sweetener from stevia—steviol glycosides, also known as E960. Since this sweetener is highly controversial and has an unpleasant taste, we clearly distance ourselves from it. The leaves we use are a natural product—in our case, 100% organic. In our teas, the leaves provide a light, pleasant sweetness and a full-bodied flavor. In addition, the leaves are completely calorie-free, suitable for diabetics, and good for your teeth.

What material are your refill pouches made of?

Made of paper! What many people don’t know is that “paper bags” are often not made of 100% paper at all, but are frequently coated with a thin layer of aluminum or plastic. We do things differently: To seal the bags so they’re airtight and flavor-proof, we use a thin cellulose coating instead. While this makes production slightly more expensive, it means you can easily dispose of the bag at home in your organic waste or on your garden compost pile.
