Lentil Hummus

Lentil Hummus

Is homemade hummus complicated? Not at all—be sure to try our Middle Eastern version with lentils!

 

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g dry red lentils
  • 500 ml of water
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 60 g tahini
  • Juice from 1 lemon, to taste
  • 3–4 teaspoons of Orient Talent
  • a few ice cubes

To serve:

  • A dash of olive oil
  • Smoked Paprika
  • fresh parsley
  • fresh bread

 

Preparation:

  1. Put the red lentils and water in a small pot and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the lentils are tender.
  2. Let the lentils cool slightly, then place them in a blender along with the garlic, tahini, lemon juice, Orient Talent, and a few ice cubes.
  3. Puree everything until smooth, adjusting the lemon juice and salt to taste as needed.
  4. Place the hummus in a bowl and, if desired, garnish with a dash of olive oil, smoked paprika, and chopped parsley.
