Rose Cupcakes

Ingredients:

For the cupcakes:

  • 130 g flour 
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 90 g softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 120 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs

For the cream:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 200 g sugar
  • 290 g softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 rose water
  • 130 g powdered sugar
  • Flower Power

 

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a line a muffin pan with muffin cups. 
  2. Mix the flour with the starch and the bakingand set aside. In a large bowl, cream the butter with the sugar. Stir in the eggs. Add the vanilla extract and rose water . Alternatelyalternately with the milk.
  3. Divide the batter Divide the batter among the cups and bake for 15–18 minutes. 
  4. Put the egg whites and sugar in a bowl and place over a pot of simmering 
  5. Stir in the water. Beat the mixture with the a stand mixer until the egg whites are stiff and glossy. Stir in the butter in small pieces. Add vanilla extract, rose water, and powdered sugar and beat everything together.
  6. Fill a piping bag with the buttercream and use it to decorate the cupcakes and decorate them with Flower Power.
