Ingredients:
For the cupcakes:
- 130 g flour
- 60 g cornstarch
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 90 g softened butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 120 ml milk
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
For the cream:
- 4 egg whites
- 200 g sugar
- 290 g softened butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 rose water
- 130 g powdered sugar
- Flower Power
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a line a muffin pan with muffin cups.
- Mix the flour with the starch and the bakingand set aside. In a large bowl, cream the butter with the sugar. Stir in the eggs. Add the vanilla extract and rose water . Alternatelyalternately with the milk.
- Divide the batter Divide the batter among the cups and bake for 15–18 minutes.
- Put the egg whites and sugar in a bowl and place over a pot of simmering
- Stir in the water. Beat the mixture with the a stand mixer until the egg whites are stiff and glossy. Stir in the butter in small pieces. Add vanilla extract, rose water, and powdered sugar and beat everything together.
- Fill a piping bag with the buttercream and use it to decorate the cupcakes and decorate them with Flower Power.
