Salted Caramel Brookies

If you have a sweet tooth, you absolutely have to try these brookies! Never heard of them? A brookie is the irresistible combination of a brownieanda cookie!

Ingredients for 12 Brookies:

For the brownie batter

  • 160 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 120 g sugar
  • 100 g coconut oil
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 140 g apple sauce
  • 70 ml of coffee

For the cookie dough

  • 180 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g margarine
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tsp salted caramel
  • 60g chocolate drops

 

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a square brownie pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the coconut oil and chocolate together. Then mix the dry ingredients for the brownie batter. Add the chocolate mixture, applesauce, and coffee, and mix briefly. Pour the brownie batter into the baking pan and smooth the top.
  3. For the cookie dough, mix all the dry ingredients together. Then knead in the margarine, water, and chocolate chips with your hands. Spread the cookie dough over the brownie batter.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes and check for doneness with a toothpick.
